OK, I am starting this so we can get to know each other even further and also Kaysar can get to know his fans since we know so much about him.
Other than BB, and TV, and writing to Kaysar, what do all of you like to do in your spare time?
When I am not working or taking care of my grandkids and sick husband; I love taking pictures. I have a digital camera and I can just step out and take anything that catches my eye. I have a lot of things posted in an album on the web. I mostly take landscapes and nature photos. Photography gives me the free feeling and inner peace and I lose myelf.
I also write. I have done poems and started some essays and a novel that I have a writer's block on. I also keep a journal.
I also love to color with my grandkids like I did with my own kids. No, I am not really old enough have grandkids but that circumstances made it that way. Long story!!!
I sometimes dabble in crafts especially around the holidays even though I am even busier since I am full time as a teacher and night time caterer and that keeps my feet going.
Now I want to hear about everyone else.

Beading is my life. :D I can usually be found at the nearest craft store, in the bead aisle.
I also enjoy hanging out with my nieces and nephews.
And collecting stuff. I'm a real pack-rat.

I also do crafts. I love quilting, needle point, crochet, anything to do with fabric, yarn, ect.. I do a little selling at craft stores in our area.
My husband and I hike, take off on week-end driving trips.
Last week I started gourmet cooking. I love to bake. I've mentioned before I am a housewife, I love doing anything that has to do with home. 6 mos. ago I remodeled the kitchen, with little help.
Reading....I will read anything. :)

I love the ocean, anytime of the year...Just to sit on the beach close my eyes and get lost in the sound of the sea,it's very peaceful. I also do crafts alot around the holidays. My house is like Santas at the North Pole, there is nothing! untouched, everything has to be Christmas.I start setting up the house around the 2 week of Nov. and finish by the 2 week of Dec :O.
I love a good book as long as its a true story ...Driver #8 was the last book i read,it is about my fav. Nascar driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. So I guess thats my next thing lol...I love Nascar and cant wait to get to a race next year.
The top of my list is my little girl and my hubby. I love my time alone with both of them. The baby and I (she's 8) do 'girls night out' once a week... We go shop'n then out to dinner and talk about what's on here mind...You know girls that age...boys and when they'll get boobies lol!
With hubby...I have to say it's Mondays...He works 6 days a week (nights) and sleeps all day,so we dont have much time together, but Monday is our day...So we do alota taking in the morning to catch up on the week, then we do dinner out..Then home....and that all the info your getting :P lol!

I read incessantly. The back of the cereal box, whatever...I don't care. And I've become attached to my computer...it's sad really. But the thing can do anything. It's one place where girls swear by more power.

Wow Tweaty that's awesome! I *love* taking photos too! I'd love to see some of your photos! I just upgraded my camera to the Nikon D70s and it takes incredible shots! And lately...(don't laugh!) the thing I love most to do is to go out in the gloaming hours and take photos of BATS! *lol* I'm serious! I love taking photos of bats! There's *so* many of them around where I live! Some of them come so close to my head that I can hear their wings flapping! Yep...I'm a crazy girl! *lol* Here's a photo of one I took a couple weeks ago:

It really looks like we all have hobbies in common because I bead stuff too! However...not so much for me to wear...they're for my parrot! *lol* :)

Super!!! All of us have a lot in common. I also use to bead and make jewelry but because of time and money I had to give that up so I mainly just do simpler and less expensive things. I just finished crocheting a blanket( I worked on it while watching BB this past summer) for my man but I haven't took pics of it yet. I also knitted a scarf for him last winter. I am now working on a quilt for our bed and then I have to work on a pillow.
I really need to start a baby blanket for my grandson, but my son keeps forgetting to tell me what colors he would like so I can get the materials.

Lane,
We are really on the same wavelength. I am a bat lover too. I find them to be very cute. That is a very good picture of that bat.
Here is my photo album

These were taken in Myrtle Beach over a month ago. My parents now live there so we were visiting them so I was shooting like crazy since it is an awesome town.
Can you show us some pieces of your beading as well? I bet you are very talented.

*lol* well she likes to destroy them of course! *lol* my sister takes care of getting the supplies...I make the jewlery! She chews them all up and makes quite a mess for me to clean up later! :) Gotta keep her beak busy!

Beading rocks! It's something I've always wanted to get involved in, but never had the time/money to do so!
In my spare time I sing in a few choirs in the Toronto area. I'm pretty much a social worker by day and professional musician by night :) i also play the french horn, piano and classical guitar. I usually practice during my study breaks; gives me something to look forward to.

NICE! that is one regret I have is that I didn't stick to music more... I wasn't good about practicing so my parents took away my piano lessons.
Awww! my mom offered them to me at a young age and I turned them down. She didnt want to pressure me with them so I let it go. Now I loathe the fact she did that! It's hurt me in music theory applications and stuff but I just learned as an adult. Im ok - but I'll never be a virtuoso!

Did you really make all of them? They are just so stunning. The jewelry making I have done is nothing compared to yours. I just strung beads even though I once took a metalsmithing class but that didn't get me far since I knew I couldn't make arrangements for having soldering done in the house and studio renting also costs big bucks. I love soldering though.
You can make big money out of your jewelry crafts. Have you thought of making it your business?
I also took piano and ballet lessons as a kid and then a certain circumstance made me give them up since I was sort of forced into a certain situation. My father gave me a guitar for my sixteenth birthday but I never could find the time for lessons and I couldn't quite learn to play by ear. I loved to write music back then though. It was so fascinating for me.
I couldn't pursue all this further since I was going to school, working and raising children. Otherwise I might have had a career in music.
I always kept up with my writing and photography though since that kept my sanity.

I also love digital photography. I have a professional SLR that I take to my daughter's dance competitions and when we take rides into the mountains. I use a smaller Olympus for hiking because the other is way too bulky. I take any shots from hummingbirds in midflight and butterflies to beautiful sunsets.
I also love to go rock hounding and then I take my rocks home and polish them in a professional rock tumbler.
My kids pretty much keep me busy but those are the things I like to do to relax.

I am forever reading and writing. I think those are the only things I am really good at. I am currently writing two Sci-fi books. One is not coming along so great though. I have severe writers block on it. I absolutely just love being outdoors. I enjoy hiking in the mountains and searching for waterfalls. There is this one place I went too called Saluda Falls. It can be deadly trying to get to it but it is worth the effort.
I also like baking, not cooking, baking. Cookies, cakes, browines, and all kinds of goodies. I have a side job where i bake things for ppl. Mainly my coworkers but I get a good amount of business in the summer.
I LOVE ANIME AND MANGA. I am a complete anime junkie. I also listen to J-pop.
Anything else...oh yeah. I like shopping and movies and comics. Spidey Rocks!!

Right now, I'm busy moving into a piece of furniture one of my housemates built for me: picture a bookcase headboard, but make it go all the way around three and a half sides of the bed. That's not quite what I have. The "bookcases" are big enough to hold storage boxes of various craft supplies and such, one of the shelves is holding my stereo now, and when the housemate has built the hinged table to make the computer accessible, the flat-screen TV/monitor will be installed inside the cube. This will free up my computer desk for craftwork other than the crocheting that happens inside my cave, and mean that when my back goes <spoing>, I'll be able to log on even if I can't comfortably sit up.
Oh, yeah, sturdy enough I can use the structure to push against, pull against, and lean into when I'm doing range of motion and such so I CAN get out of bed for plumbing visits and other necessities. There are straps here and there, so when back wants to be a spaz I can lift myself past the point where it signals its resentment.
So building a perfect environment for my lazy self is a big part of what I'm doing lately, and making a perfect space for myself is a major interest.
Since the mattress goes UNDER the shelving, fitted sheets don't work, so a couple days ago, I sewed casings along a sheet to accept wodden dowels, so I can put the sheet on the dowel, wedge the dowel between mattress and frame, and the sheet stays in place as well as a fitted sheet woujld.
I am now negotiating with the cats who live in this room, since they knock things off some of the shelving because it prevents them from getting up into the "attic" of my bed, which is storage for me and private space for cats. I think we've all come up with a solution we can accept because I did not wake up today with things that had been knocked off on my head or feet.
Always, I have some of the bags I like to make to put the socks and toiletries I give street people under construction in one of the boxes around my bed.
One of the projects I'm planning on doing sometime in the next year so I can wear it NEXT October is to take some ribbon cable I salvaged from dumpsters (I'm a diver, because craft materials you can't find at Michael's can be found in the dumpsters behind computer companies), strip it into single strands in many colors, and crochet it into a mask. Then I can add batteries and LEDs, and come Halloween 2K6, my housemate will give out the candy, and when he's got the trickortreaters' attention on him, I'll slowly stand up so the mask can be seen from the porch. Hit the lights, and give out my very bestest cackle..... Heh.
I don't know yet how to get it to who, but when I heard that Katrina was headed for NO, I started an afghan, and when it's finished, I'll want it to go to someone who needs a bit of home that isn't mudcovered and floated away.
One of these days I gotta get my postcard collection all sorted out.... the oldest are OK but I keep finding little clumps I haven't sorted into the main collection, and it sure would be nice to be able to open a program, type in a few keywords, and find out which comical Halloween pre-1915, or how many scenic Rutherford Co. TN I have.....
But before I do that, there are at least 20 boxes of SF paperbacks, fifties to late seventies, mostly, that I want to get indexed on line.
Sometime after the next time I buy 2x2s, I need to file and index the latest additions to my coin collection (not valuable, really, but it does something deeply meaningful to me to hold a coin from the Third Reich in my hand, and reflect that it hasn't been a thousand years, but the coin outlasted the empire. (I want an Iraqi coin from before the US incursion, too.)
I'm sure there's more, that's only what things in my direct line of sight remind me of.... and if I turned my head, I'd see reminders of beading, collecting art glass (I have a special soft spot for Blenko cobalt but ... whatever.)
And the two best presents I've gotten in the last six months are the flat-screen TV/monitor for my bed, and my very own dremel-like grinding kit so I won't have to borrow my housemate's when I want to shape something.
YES, I do live in clutter. The accidental slumpings of one pile into another, however, helps me make unexpected connections between apparently unrelated ideas and crafts.
Oh, yeah, I guess I should admit that I write a bit, too. Mostly not published, but if I lost count of how many words I got paid for in the seventies at about three million, I must be doing something right even without the byline.
Music? Grateful Dead to gamelon, taiko to harpsichord.....
And people, whether they're being tragically stupid, so I feel I must try to understand them to fend off despair, or at their best, so I can use them to encourage myself to be a little less awful than I could be, are fascinating....
Is that enough for now? I think so....
ST*, who is celebrating Trash Eve now, but soon will be taking an afternoon nap with purring cats on either side....

I love hearing about all the interests people have! I'm surprised by, at this stage, the similarities! It may explain our passion for Kaysar a bit.
My self, I am a very concrete person. I've never been imaginative in terms of the visual arts. There's a test to see what kind of person/learner you are. I don't remember the full details , but they ask you to close your eyes and picture a box and then describe it. Mine was a pencil drawn cube ,period. My husbands was all different colors on the outside and he even had color on the inside!. I don't dream either and when I read books it really is an auditory experience. I don't picture charators though sometimes I picture the landscapes.
My creativity comes into being a creative problem solver. I seem to be able to think outside the box in that area. I am the biggest, bestest audience though for all the creative people out there! If you have done something creatively pictures, sculpture, movies , plays you want me in your audience because I will love it. Except abstract and some artsy independant films , like I said I'm concrete and they just go past what I'm capable of understanding.
Hobbies that work for me are drawing ( has to be a copy of something or a real landscape or animal nothing from my imagination) , coloring (seriously its very zen for me to color in complex coloring books) , digital photography ( i like to get down to the macro level or get really close to objects and take a portion of the item & it actually is more of an abstract then ie patterned floor, inside a sculpture...) , my all time unaccomplished hobby would be stained glass. I took some classes then bought a too small house and had kids . Both have put a wrench in that passion for now. Someday ....
Listening to book tapes is another passion . Our too small house is brimming with tons of books from my homeschooling days and pre kids days.
Lastly, I love going to spots of nature where thats all thats there is natures sounds. I think there is a real need in all of us to reconnect to nature periodically.

I am a broadcasting student in NC. I love making videos. I guess this is one reason I was so into BB. I love watching TV. The news is my favorite. I love anything political or conversal. Like muchluv4kaysar, I too love baking. I once wanted to be a chef. I love shopping and the internet. I'm also a part-time waitress until I am finshed with school, which I hope is soon.

I also believe in the power of crystals, however I do my daily self tarot reading. It is so fascinating how differerent the cards are dealt each time and with different questions.
When I was in Myrtle Beach this last month, I bought the fairie deck of cards which you deal by seasons and now I have something else to learn.
wow wow wow kabbalist .... I'm in awe of your jewlery! It's absolutely amazing...I would LOVE to have that Labradorite necklace...my sister started buying me necklaces like that last year...there's this place called Novica.com that has a whole selection of jewlery made from almost all over the world...it's fantastic! Over the past months, she kept buying me lots of stuff from this place...and now I have a whole collection of beautiful necklaces...I'll have to take a photo of one of my favorites! :)
Tweaty: your photos are very lovely!!! I love photos of flowers! My mom has always enjoyed gardening and she made me fall in love with one particular plant: mexican bird of paradise...it is *the* most beautiful plant really on the face of the planet as far as I'm concerned! The flowers are so stunning and attract sooo many hummingbirds/bees/butterflies. It really makes our backyard feel so alive! :)

Thank You Lane. I am so glad you liked them. I took even more since I used up a few cards. I just can't put them all there at one time because of storage limits. I will put them up sometime next month.
Kabbalist,
That beaded jewelry is very stunning. You really need to go in business. Are you aware how much people are willing to pay for all that? You will be rich and have more orders than you know what to do with. Have also though of teaching classes? Those classes are always in demand since everyone want to learn beaded jewelry.

You can't use images on U2U but I will send you my email addy that you can use.
I use the Aquarian tarot deck and the Light and Shadow tarot deck. I have to check which fairie deck that is called. I think it is simply fairie or it would have stayed in my mind.
Do you believe in the power of Amber?

Don't worry, you will make more than enough to support your habit. The gals who make jewelry for a living here are very wealthy.
My hobby is bicycle riding. I like to do long bike tours for different charities (www.ms150.org), or just a 50 miles on a nice weekend.

I love reading and writing, when I get a chance to do both. Eventually, I plan on making writing my career, to heck with my job now! (Retail management can suck soooo much!)
I enjoy cooking when I get the gumption, and I actually don't mind cleaning if it's my idea and I have the time. Part of that is my compulsive need to organize things (and then reorganize).
I love movies, tv shows, and chatting online. I do a ton of things online, and dabble in site design, though I really, really suck at it. I just haven't taken the time to actually learn what I need to know.
I enjoy computer games, especially roleplaying.
I love discussing and reading about spiritual and religious things, sometimes reading more than discussing, and have a penchant for philosophy and sociology/anthropology. I love the theater, and music is one of my passions. When I have time, I sometimes just like to sit back with my trumpet and play a few songs...get back into shape.
I wish I could think of more (as I know there are more)...
Oh! I am obsessive about mythologies and ancient cultures. I've written a novel set in Ancient Egypt (in need of massive editing), and a fantasy nove, numerous poems, and some short stories.
There, I think I've rambled long enough.

That is very interesting. You have a lot of good interests. May I ask what faith you follow?
RhyanShae
09-26-2005, 10:15 PM
It's a paganist faith, more spiritual than any religion based. I believe in concepts of reincarnation, karma, psychic ability, souls, and meditative processes. I don't follow set rituals, and I generally set my own schedule. I just don't like restrictions on beliefs, and I like the freedom my beliefs offer me.
I follow the good things, Golden Rule, and agree with basic human law. I follow it, as well as a lot of the morals and ethical stuff I learned from Catholicism, which I grew up with.
I haven't found any title to describe my beliefs other than pagan. And, even then, I don't really believe in many gods, or even one god, just an entity, an energy we're all a part of.

I haven't posted much on this board yet but have been lurking a lot lately (sick dog, sick three year old, sick husband- need I say more?) I love this thread.
Kabbalist, your jewelry is amazing. Really beautiful. I would buy some of those pieces in a heartbeat so I agree that you should sell some of it. I was also rather intriqued by the bellydancing. LOl! I workout quite a bit and lost 20 lbs over the summer. I have heard that bellydancing is a wonderful workout and lots of fun. I have been tempted to try it many times. I love crafts and plan on taking some jewelry making classes next. I do card making, stamping, silk floral arrangements and am getting ready to take cake decorating. As a SAHM the crafts give me an outlet for my creativity and brain other than playing Cariboo fifteen times a day.
Janall, I also love the ocean, well any body of water really. Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near the ocean so had to settle for a pond. :( But there is something so utterly peaceful about listening to the ocean and looking out over the vastness of it. REally puts things into perspective. We went to Hilton Head on vacation recently and I spent two hours a day (while my three year old was napping) just wandaring down the beach. I almost cried when we had to leave.
Tweety, your flower shots are great. I also love photography and I worked in a camera store for years then recruited for a local art school before I became a SAHM. I have to confess though that I am slowly coming around to digital photography. I spent so many years in a darkroom that if I didn't develop it myself it didn't really feel like photography. But I am starting to really like digital. I still prefer B&W to color though.
I also love reading and cooking. Am addicted to trying new recipes and love the Food Network channel, especially Emeril and Paula Dean. I also collect recipe books and spend a lot of time looking for new recipes on allrecipes.com. As far as reading, I love reading all different types of books. I went to graduate school for history so I had to read more books than I can count there but in my private life I confess I tend to read more for entertainment than education. I was one of those geeks who counted the days to Harry Potter and I sent my husband to the local grocery store at midnight to buy it for me. :)
Anyway, hello everyone.

It is not an easy thing to admit since we are a very disliked bunch. All I keep hearing is we worship the devil when we don't believe nor acknowledge the devil. In my religion, there is no devil but we have many gods.
Cool, What charites do you ride for? I have another Internet friend who rides all over in his state.
Any charity that is organizing a bike ride. Multiple sclerosis (www.ms150.org), american lung association, etc. I usually just look on-line and see what kind of rides are coming up (http://www.teamcure.org/events1.htm) for the weekends I am free.

Hey mommyluvnoah - this caught my eye, because I too am drawn to large bodies of water. I just, I don't know, *feel* better near the water. I grew up landlocked in the midwest, and made haste as soon as I could to the nearest body of water (Lake Michigan). Eventually I made my way to Seattle, which if course is nearly surrounded by water. I love being a short drive from Puget Sound. I love sitting on the beach and looking out over the water, not a soul in sight, just me and the rhythm of surf.
It feels like going back to the source somehow. What source? I don't know. Just the source. Maybe it's a water sign thing. Maybe it's a womb memory thing. All I know is, I love being near the water. I won't leave it again.
Wow, it was nice to rif on that topic.
Peace. :)

Hey tweety_kiss :)
- MBTI is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. I've got a thread about it over on Michael's board with links - you can take a test on line to guess your type. In a nutshell it indicates your natural preferences in how you manage energy, how you give/take in information, how you make decisions, and how your structure your life. It helps with career, relationships, self care, and conflict management, among other things.
- Yeah, I can see why Francophone was confusing - it was a noun amidst all those verbs. Anyway, a Francophone is someone who enjoys learning and speaking French.
Thanks for asking. :)

I learned how to knit and crochet in high school. I had not done either for years. Last year I fell down the stairs and broke my ankle. (I am now blessed with 10 screws and 2 plates):(
When I was on my "ankle break" I started knitting again and now I enjoy knitting afgans. It is very relaxing, and it kept me from going nuts while my ankle healed.
I too enjoy my digital camera. I have pictures in my office that I took in Chicago and Fort Lauderdale. I enjoy taking literally hundreds of pictures of my son playing football. I fill the memory card each game.
I don't really like to cook, however I do like to eat.
I love scary movies.
We have a boat and I love spending as much time as we can on the lake.
I love being at the ocean. I love just listening to it.
My favorite color is burgundy.
I love Pina Coladas and Margaritas (on the rocks)

Thank you anii for answering my question.
Those self tests sound interesting. I will go to Michael's board and get the links. I think the term Francophone sounds interesting too. I should learn Spanish since in this town, it is the second language and half the people here speak it.

REally puts things into perspective. We went to Hilton Head on vacation recently and I spent two hours a day (while my three year old was napping) just wandaring down the beach. I almost cried when we had to leave.

Hi anii. Wow, I am a little jealous that you are so close to water on a daily basis. I am from the Baton Rouge/ New Orleans area and I spent my summers on a lake in Texas so maybe that is where the love of water came from but as a child my mother moved me out to the midwest so most of my time has been spent many hours away from the ocean. I still love the sound of water though and even made my husband install a wall fountain in our house so I could fall asleep at night listening to it. :)

Ugh, this is embarssing...I'm an online gamer! I have been playing Ultima Online for over five years (ugh...that's how I met my soon to be husband..no really...).
Now that the embarassing one is out of the way, I'm an avid camper. We try to go once a month. Luckily for us, there is a great place up in the Redwoods about an hour south of here.
I'm very passionate about cooking and I have over 85 cookbooks, lol. I've been a wanna-be astrologer for 15 years (that's half of my life now, eek!) and I enjoy reading charts for friends, but even moreso for people I just meet because then the information I am giving them is not biased with previous knowledge.
We have two dogs and we treat them as if they are our children and we take them to the off-leash dog park a couple times a week. Ugh, I also have developed a love of scrapbooking, lol.
Kabbalist, I *love* your beadwork..and your painting!

No, no charge, like I said, I'm an amateur. As for just having your chart done, the best site is www.astro.com because *it's free*!. They do have some services that you pay for, but a basic chart is free (you can customize it as well by adding asteroids, changing the house system, etc.). You can also create an account and make your own database of people, and that is also free. I interpret charts for friends and people as a hobby of sorts, and I would never dream of charging people for that! =P
I've been a vegetarian for over ten years now, but I was vegan for about a year and a half, during which time I had to get *very* creative with my cooking, lol. Btw, Olive Oil is the best fat to use while cooking. I'm sure you know this but it's a monounsaturated fat, which is good for you. In areas where it's consumed in mass quantity (think Greece) there tends to be less instances of heart disease.
In my early teens, I acually used to use a small loom for beading. My Great Grandmother was Choctaw, and my family went through a period of discovering our "native american roots", and I really got into beadwork. I only did simple things however.
I like to cook dessert's and love to make cheese cakes. It's a lot of country cooking in my part of N.C.

I'm familiar with that site and another that gives free birth charts including a nice colorized image of how everything looks on the chart. Can't recall the addy...www.astrology.com maybe?
There are other charts besides birth, right? Like career, love, etc? Is that still determined by how your birth chart is?
Yep, I have only used extra virgin olive oil for many years now:) I would like to see Hubby and I be 90% vegetarian... we actually are 95% right now with this detox diet we are doing... I plan to modify the diet when the detox part is over and try to keep us at 90-95%... we are feeling sooooo much better eating this way!
As you probably saw my bead weaving is pretty simplistic;) I'm a noob at that loom... I need ALOT of practice!:o
Sorry, I wanted to wait until I had a few minutes to reply...
Your birth chart is basically a map of what was going on in teh sky when you were born. The ascendant represents what was on the eastern horizon at the exact moment of your birth, and from that sign and degree the rest of your chart is set up. From that chart, you can tell quite a bit about someone's life. I've never studied predective astrology, but you can even tell when certain events will happen in someone's life through their chart.
As for myself, I usually use astrology as a tool to understand the inner workings/psychology of the people around me. Ugh, have to run, I'll tell you more about this later. Posting at work sucks. =P

When you have more time I'd love to read more! I wish I could get you over in my forum to talk about this stuff! None of us are that educated in astrology. I'm trying to explain what I can, but I'm limited to understanding how astrology works in magick.
Let's say a person wanted to figure out what direction they should go for their career... Would they refer back to their birth chart to see where they would be more apt? Or are there different kinds of charts casts that show where they are at that point in their life - i.e. it's fall of 2005 and someone who is looking for a new career direction casts a chart for what's going on right then in their life? Or do they refer back to their birth chart? I hope I'm making sense...
What books do you recommend on the topic?
I"m sorry, I forgot about this...
Ok, the birth chart is the way to go.
Someone, who is skilled could then do a progressed chart, but it would be a progression of you life from the point of birth and that point is..the birth chart. =)
I have no knowledge of interpreting progressed charts, however, you can get them for free at www.astro.com as well. If you can find someone to decipher it for you, you're all set. Unfortunately, I can't. =(
One of my favorite books is "How to be a Great Astrologer" by James Braha. He goes in depth explaining interplanetary aspects. Of course, these are modified further by house placement, but there's no way to really write a book taking all of that into consideration. It looks at each aspect as a singluar influence, but it's really worth reading if you're interested in at least learning more about yourself and your natal (birth) chart.
What kind of boards do you have?
DelilahJones

I lost this thread, sorry it took so long to respond again... !
The progressed chart starts with your natal (birth) chart. It then does a progression of planets and such across your birth chart ased on the amount of life you've had. I don't know how to interpret those however.
When I was a teenager, one of my best friends mothers tried to get me to go to her temple, which was kabbalistic. She really wanted me to go and check it out, but I never did. That was fifteen years ago, sadly she passed away from cancer about seven years ago now. I have read two books by Dion Fortune (the Sea Priestess was one) and I was told she practices Kabbalah (am I using the proper grammar? shoudl it be "the" Kabbalah?).

I am really into Ceramics at the moment, actually it is my area of emphasis for my Art Major. I am taking my second wheel throwing class right now. We had a huge pit firing tonight which was a lot of fun. I can't wait to see how thing turn out tomorrow.
I am also taking my first photography class. I am really enjoying it. I love developing my own pictures it is so much fun to watch them show up. We are just doing B&W.
I also love to play with computer graphics. As some of you have seen. I love making wallpaper. And putting head on other peoples bodies. :D:D
A head swap photo of Sarah Michelle Gellar (http://jeansmx.com/Gallery/album148/buffy01?full=1) I did actually ended up in a French magazine. It was weird.
I also love to color. I work in a call center and I am constantly coloring while I am on the phone. I have the bottom drawer of my desk filled with coloring books. And I have about $200 worth of art markers at my desk. Here are some pictures I colored.
This one was done with Prismacolor Art Markers:

alanagab, you asked for interesting places to travel. It's a hard question to answer unless one has a basic idea of what region you live in, what you're interested in, and where you've already been.
My dream has always been to go to India. I've been all over the US, parts of Mexico and to several countries in Europe. I've felt called to India since I was about seventeen however.

I never did get a chance to take any of the ceramic classes while in college. I was consumed with painting then... One day I might like to do that. I do have quite a collection of pottery that fellow artists have traded with me. One that is a really cool teapot.
Pit Firing is digging a big hole and wrapping the pieces in things like sea weed, saw dust, and other vegatation. You can also sprinkle on red copper oxide and mircle grow and other things. Then you pile it all up in the hole stack wood on top and set the whole thing on fire. You keep it burning for about an hour and a half to two hours then just let smolder over night.
Raku is a low fire glaze firing. We do it in a outdoor kiln that is on a pulley system. Once the glazes have melted and stop bubbling we lift the lid and pull out the pieces while they are glowing and put them in a barrel with sand and newspaper and saw dust.
They are both low tech things that you could build or do yourself on a small scale. But Raku has glaze and pit fire doesn't.

Well the shine comes from burnishing the piece with a smooth rock before the clay dies. The color comes from the different things you put on it.
Sea Weed gives you Orange
Red Copper Oxide gives you Red
Saw Dust gives you Black

You certainly stay busy;)
What kind of clay work do you do?
How hard is it to learn glass blowing? Did you use to make glass bottles?
I like staying busy, keeping my mind active.
Clay work: I just like making molds and sculptures. Nothing specific really. I actually made a very good Little Mermaid once. I cooked and painted it too. If I do sculptures though I usually don't have a plan, I just start working and see what I get. I normally end up making flowers though. I just make them big. I really suck at clay work though. I don't take it very seriously as I do other things.
Glass Blowing: OMG! So fun. If you ever get the opportunity do it! It is difficult to learn, I know I can still use some pointers. But it is just amazing how you can create so many things. I made a few glass vases and bottles to start out with. Then my old neighbor, he taught me, got me into making little ppl, flowers, dolphins, and a few other animals. Ah! I made a hummingbird it has colors in it too. I think he used some sort of dye to get the colors in it. But the hummingbird if by far my best one. I wish I could show u a pic but my family lacks updated technology. We still have dial up.
Glass blowing is great though. I haven't done it in at least 2yrs because my neighbor moved. He had a everything for it. I really miss it. I made a ballarina too. she is on one foot with the other in the air and her arms above her head. It is so cute. I really should look into starting again. It can be so relaxing and rewarding.

I know it was a basic html format, but it was specifically designed for a MySpace account. I don't know if it would work on a certain forum. I'm certain that if you know how to use html, you can figure it out. You can find the code at www.toxxic.net, and they are under MySpace layouts.

I'm wanting to use what I have on my forum on my space... not the other way around. As long as it's basic html then I'll be able to figure it out. My poor myspace page is naked right now... it needs cool graphics and more fuchsia:P
On my next break I'll try to get back over there to read your poetry... Thanx!
Post the html code in the "About Me" where you edit your profile. See if it will work that way.

jeansmx,
I finally got to your website and I love all your artwork. You are so good with your coloring, drawing and ceramics.
Now your ceramics, is that wheelthrowing you used or did you just shape it from scratch?
What is NON-digital art and what is digital art?

Wow Stella,
You have a lot of very interesting hobbies. It is also nice that your housemate enjoys woodworking so that you can have convenient furniture. Now, can you explain more about the cable ribbon since I didn't catch what that really is.
I also love crocheting, knitting and needlepoint. I love anything to do with yarn. I am also after an Iraqi coin. I know those must be valuable already. I also want Iraqi stamps. Right now I have a lot of Disney stamps. I can't find the post card collection I had as a child. I just have the Chicago post cards but now because of emails, no one sends post cards anymore LOL!!!! I have been mainly concerntrating on my statehood coin collection. I also collect Tweety items. That is my favorite baby as everyone can tell.
I will be doing some serious redecorating in a couple of months so I have to cool it with the collectibles for a while. Right now, I am just sticking to my crafts when I am not doing anything else.
We have a lot in common.

TN,
I think you are very creative and I can bet you are also very talented. You brought up a very good point that I never would have thought of and I now agree with you that here we all are very artistic and creative orientated and that explains our passion for Kaysar since even though I don't know him, I can easily picture him being the same way. I mean his acting ability, occupation as a commercial artist, and his extraordinary chess abilities all tell us how creative he is. Not everyone can play chess (me being one of them) and he is one of the masterminds of the game. It also takes creativity to solve puzzles which is something else Kaysar is good at.
Now back to you; since you take photos as a hobby, that itself is part of the fine arts. I am also into photography. I am a member of photobucket where I keep my nature and landscape photos. I also love to get close and get detail shots. Can we see some of your drawings? I can't even draw a straight line. LOL!!!

I forgot to answer this. I love to bowl as well but I don't get a chance since hubby does not bowl. I also love to play softball, tennis, soccer, and raquetball even though I don't consider those hobbies.

I LOVE taking photos. I am actually pretty good at it - not to brag, but I've been told. And I am constantly working with music programs on computers and occassionally have produced a few music videos :) Not pro videos or anything, just for classes... TONS OF FUN!!!
I am also a writer. Poetry, fiction, non-fiction... EVERYTHING, lol.
I love montages and short stories! I have a few that I've posted online... they are: Love Lucy (short story) Dance Like You Do When You're Alone (short story, memory narrative) Mr. Brightside (play) I LOVE WRITING! My HS Eng teacher thinks I will be a writer, lol.
And I LLLLLOOOOVVVVEEEEEE to read :)
I also love writing even though I haven't done it in ages. I need to do it though since there have been some rought elements to deal with. LOL!!!
I have a thriller story and a time travel suspense. I am working on that are both on writer's block. My last poem was for my husband that I wrote last year. I just haven't written lately since there were some things going on lately here.
