View Full Version : Just imagine...

Shows Over. We all have had time to examine, understand and reflect on who did what, who said what and when; where do we go from here?

Think about your own lives: your relationships, conflicts within and with others (resolved or not); your views: on politics, religion, other races, your reactions and how others react to you in debating these issues.

Now...imagine you are about to enter the Big Brother House for possibly 3 months or knowing it could just be a week. You are taking all of your life experiences and knowledge in assessing and dealing with people, the knowledge of how things went down this year on BB6 and your own personal goals for this game (decide what those would be). You are saying goodbye to the people and reality you know and love and you may or may not be on your own.

Now imagine...Ivette, Beau, Eric, Maggie, April, Jennifer are among your other new houseguests and they haven't changed a bit. How would you deal with them and would this change your strategy?

Great question!

What I likely would do: be snotty, ironic, and find people of my ilk to hang with.

What I would like to do, strategically: totally co-opt and "will (of BB2) it up." I'd feign righteous indignation at Janie not handing over her robe to the moronic moralizing Maggie, pretend I thought Eric was a hero, and pretend to enjoy Ivette's volume, Jen's creepy promiscuity, and Beau's uselessness.

I would have totally toned down my sexuality and sense of humour for the smuglies. I'd try to find farts HIlarious, even though I thought their collective sense of humour was one of the stupidest I've ever seen.

Then, I would go to TOWN on them verbally in the diary room, and let the nation in on the joke. I'd do long imitations of each of them - that's always a hit, but then go right back to faking it while I was with them.

I'd try to choose one member of the cooler team that I thought I could trust in the long term, and let them in on the joke, if possible.

I would not partcipate in the fake sexual harassment stuff, no matter what, though.

In other words...keep your enemies closer. You would infiltrate their drama and use it against them. I have give this much thought...and I too think this is a great strategy. Become the Mole.

Totally BB2 Will strategy. Of course. And it would work too.

I wouldn't do *just* that, because that could give them ammunition to use against you. You would need to form a secret alliance with them to protect each other from each other's teams so that you could be F2. If the pairs could have been kept secret for longer, Rachel and Howie could easily have made this work for them - because Rachel was already in the Cappy crew, and Howie was with the outcasts.

I would like to believe that I would behave the same no matter what the circumstances and remain true to my real character...which is to give people the benefit of the doubt.

If I fail and am ousted in the first week, at least I can respect myself in the morning. :D And that's far more important than any amount of winnings.

Ok. Would you then take the opportunity to appeal to any sense they (Friendship) may or may not have to try and get them to understand why their behavior is unacceptable to most and do you think you could succeed?

No, I would just chuckle at them. People are who they are. No one, in my opinion, could ever make that group self-effacing or even self-reflective.

Yeah, good point. I'd try to go the Dani/Jason (BBB3) route for maintaining that alliance - their fake card playing was very well done.
