Socialyzing (misspelled naturally :P)

What is the general feeling about socialyzing with people that are not of your religion? is it frowned on?

if it is young single adults then it should not be in mixed company, but mixing with christians and jews is ok.

For married couples, as long as the husband is present to protect his wife and approves of the conversation then mixed company is ok, otherwise it is the same as above.
