Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. If someone hurts you, betrays you , or breaks you heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them. Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live.

It is amazing how people want to wish away the bad when the bad teaches you more than the good.

The Bible verse I live by and my favorite scripture is Romans 8:28:
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
I truly believe it. If I didn't believe it I don't think I could make it through every day. It is engrained in me. I think another important thing is to not to have any regrets. Everything that happens to you or has happened to you, good or bad, shapes who you are. I believe that the greatest joy comes on the other side of trials and tribulations. It makes you more appreciative and it definitely makes you stronger. And, we are ALL better in the end for facing struggles.

God works in mysterious ways. Sometimes good things happen and then sometimes bad things happen. But i think its what we take from those experience that matter. If something bad happens we should not become vengful but take it as a learning experience. Not only should we forgive those that make mistakes but its important for those that made the mistakes to forgive themsleves. I feel that God would never give us so much that we couldnt handle it.

This is very good and profound. True, bad things happen to good people, but if you have The Lord then you will overcome it all and come out of it smiling. Awesome words there Sara. God works in mysterious ways. Sometimes good things happen and then sometimes bad things happen. But i think its what we take from those experience that matter. Great one Deb, I am listening to Casting Crowns right now, Praise you in this storm....awesome song. I love the verse that says we will be overcomers. Actually have several favorites, ;)The Bible verse I live by and my favorite scripture is Romans 8:28:

This is very good, I have a saying, it is what you make it, so why not make it good, learn from it and grow. Also, I say, never leave a loved one in a bad way, always tell them you love them, might be the last time you see them on this earth.
Love everyone.......makes life so much more peaceful....yeah!Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. This is perfectly stated Sara.
If one can find it within themself to forgive someone else's mistakes one should also be willing to forgive their own mistakes. Some people are just too critical of themselves. If others deserve forgiveness so do you, yourself.
I do believe that everything happens for a reason. When one door closes another one opens. I personally have had disappointment only to later find greater success.
I also believe in karma. What goes around comes around. This too I have witnessed. Good comes to those who are good, bad things eventually happen to those who are bad. Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we just have to wait patiently for all the pieces to make sense.

- AnonymousI live by this. I can not agree more.
Never leave a loved one or friend without saying you love them. It may be the last time I see them and I really want them to know how I feel.
On a different note.......this is the first time I have seen these threads..
