Another reality show returns
ABC is set to revive the reality hit The Bachelorette, according to Variety.
The series, which last aired in 2005, was a spin-off of The Bachelor and featured a female who was trying to find true love among a group of male hopefuls.
ABC hasn’t revealed any details on the latest instalment, but they're aiming for a summer debut.
The first Bachelorette, Trista Rehn, found love with firefighter Ryan Sutter. Their televised wedding, which aired as the finale of a three-episode special Trista & Ryan’s Wedding, drew over 26 million viewers. They were married on Dec. 6, 2003 and the two now have a baby boy, born last summer.
Meredith Phillips, the second-ever Bachelorette, ultimately chose Ian McKee, but the two broke up in February 2005.
Jen Schefft, who found love with the third Bachelor, Andrew Firestone, became the last Bachelorette when their relationship ended in 2003. However, she did not pick anyone in the finale.
Who will be the next Bachelorette? If the rumours are true, Bevin Powers, the runner-up in last season’s The Bachelor, may be stepping up to the plate.
That's great. I'll be watching this one.

DeAnna was on Ellen today were it was announced that DeAnna will be the next Bachelorette!! YAY!! No word on when it'll air, but can't wait.
DeAnna said that for sure, whom ever she picks will HAVE TO KNOW WHAT THEY WANT!! .... She got a BIG laugh from the audience!!

Yeah, I know who she is, even though I didn't watch her season with Andrew Firestone (I think it's the only Bacherlor season I've ever missed). But what I was saying I don't recall is her ever being the Bachelorette. I remember Meredith. I remember Trista. But I do not remember her being the bachelorette. Not sure why.

Not a fan of the Bachlorette and more so the way she and the show keep ripping.. "BRAD".. The heart wants what the heart wants and he did her the service of being honest with her.. and true to his own self. Whose to say that out of millions of men those 25 will absolutely have her "match"...??
She was on the commercials "guaranteeing" that she will find a true love THIS time.. Who can say that? Sure for ratings and the show's agenda.. but really.. she annoys me and I would've preferred to get to know a FRESH new face..
Some of the guys that were intro'd on the show I DO like..
The teacher although nerdy from northern NY is really cool and seems 'real'. The dad from Washington.. is cool.. and another guy too but cant remember his name or profession. Was glad for some of the ones that she dumped first show.. like the crazed personal trainer with the tat's.. really.. you know these were in there for the 'drama'..
Should be an interesting season .. as long as I don't have to look at the Bachelorette too much..

I felt sorry for her in the opening as that dress was clearly someone else's choice.. she didn't look or seem to feel comfy in it... having to hobble around so not to trip. I would've loved to see her in a classic cocktail fun dress.. Also for them to lay off the negative past and just keep it positive fun forward.
Gotta say the guy that took the dive in the water with the trunks with her name on them.. that took some .. drive... Was interesting. Also was a little scared by the karate' guy.. Loved the cook's skills and persona but maybe a bit too sure of himself. Still would like to see how far the 'dad' goes or the teacher.

I thought she looked beautiful and very secure in the dress! As for bringing up the past, everyone knows about it and was thinking about it so why not address it and then it would be forgotten. She was also having a fantastic time and enjoying herself. With her already being on the show she will have a little more empathy towards the bachelors and will know exactly what to look for!

Very nice first episode..she had a couple decent guys to choose from..
my faves so far..
Brian from Texas HOT!!
Ron (the barbershop owner)
Graham ( the basketball player)
and Eric the Greek guy..just because he's Greek like Deanna :D

I loved it!! I thought she looked great and I agree with Susan, obviously Brad would be addressed and squashed. My favs are The Science Nerd, Graham, and Jason. Cuties!!!
I'm glad she dumped Spero, and that Oyster Farmer, is that even a real job. I like the guys she picked, my favorites are:
1. Ryan
2. Paul (Guy that jumped in the pool)
moosie

Yes BRAD would be addressed but no need to batter his name every 10 minutes or so for following HIS heart. He had as much right to deny any action of love if he did not feel it. So game over and move on... he owes her nothing. They're not 9 and this is not the 3rd grade. He did an adult move and she seemed to think that it was a daytime drama and maybe if she whined and cried enough she would get her man?? (the follow-up show was a joke)...
:P
For whatever reason.. for me and a few others that watched it... it just got old.. FAST and predictable after a while. Sure bring it up.. but it was like there was a timer off camera that lit up a sign saying "Time to Bash BRAD" ..
I find the guys interesting and will keep my interest for the show .. and yeah she's purdy.. and had on a purdy dress.. but seriously... looks do not matter when it comes to true love. Anyone can get a nice dress via a stylist or Goodwill store and make it work. However whatever personality type she has.. well to me.. hers is a snoozer.. Predictable, immature and boring. IMO.
:sleep2:
Would've loved to have seen a new gal.. with no connections to any old shows. Just tired of Network Execs thinking HEY.. we got ratings for 5 seconds so lets capitalize and prostitute that as much as we can... then again they ARE Network Execs so it's to be expected... right? ha ha ha.
;)
I UNDERSTAND the 'draw' to her as to those younger demographics having unrequited love or been spurned by someone they were attracted too.. or maybe the need to see 'revenge' of the scorned and the resolve .... and so did the Execs to place her on the show... Kudos for playing up to that.. Still just not something worth respecting. Then again it IS just a TV show.. so if she CAN find TRUE love in these guys... cheers and best of luck.
It's just difficult to watch some times knowing that in their contract it states.. as the episodes progress there are stipulations about getting in so many kisses per episode or agreeing to step it up of sort. Just going by past bacholettes and info from others on the show. When I found this out it was like killing off the Easter Bunny but not sure why I was surprised knowing the ways of 'production'... Makes me question what is real and what is for 'show'.
:dontknow:
Again I like a lot of the guys and they seem more real than most of the girls on the Bachelor so will be interesting to see them down the line as we learn more about them.
:)
All of that... and and truth be told.. I REALLY was just waiting for my laundry drying cycle to finish so thot I would yadda yadda yadda about this.. ha ha ha ha till it's done.. and guess what... it is. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ..
:D

Well, as long as a "few others" saw it your way, it must be so...
Actually, every bachelorette has been connected to a Bachelor show so I guess your wanting someone new is against how the executives in charge pick their bachelorette. Sucks for you, good for us that actually like DeAnna and her predictable personality.
I don't make it my business or personal need to understand the bachelorette and co.'s contracts, I just try to enjoy the show and see it for what it is. I never feel the need to really get to know these people as they are edited into the character the exec's want. It is not like Big Brother where we have the power to see how people "really" are.

What was up with that guy Twilley??..can someone say stalker??..lol
All my boys are still there so i'm happy..except for Eric the Greek guy..she didn't seem to have a connection with him so it's better that she let him go.
And i don't think i like this Jeremy guy who got another rose again for the second time around..i can understand what Ron was trying to say when he told her that she should have given someone else the chance to get one and come into the Mansion to spend some time with her and get to know her better.
But i guess she really appreciated the fact that he opened up to her about both of his parents passing away and she can relate cos she lost her mother herself.
We'll see how it goes..i cannot put my finger on it but there's just something about him that i don't like.

Am glad that this Bachelorette picked the Dad? Jason ? Joshua? and yes I don't see the attraction on "Twilly"? but am guessing he is there for the drama factor.
I do like the added twist of getting bumped up to the house.. although it seems a little bit robbed ffrom The L.A. Apprentice.. still seems different.
I would've given a rose to the guy that had trouble putting on a Dodger's Uniform.. ha ha and stayed true to his own Home Team. All respect to Lasorda and his accomplishments.. but guess it's just the SF Giant's fan in me screaming.. Get That Uniform Off of my Faves!!! ha ha ha ha
:D
Can't wait to see Ellen Degeneres on this next episode. Love the Ellen undies and this should be fun.. to put the "swimsuit competition" on the other.. foot.

I'm definitely loving this season so far! As of right now, my favorites are Jason & Jesse. I like Graham a lot too.
I really really don't like Jeremy! He is just way too cocky! I just think that he doesn't need to be such a jerk to all the other guys. He just goes in and steals time with Deanna when it seems like half of the other guys don't even get a chance to talk to her!
and I loved Ellen on 2nights episode! She had Deanna on her show last week and they were talking about tonights episode and Ellen was saying that she actually walked back and forth between the guys with the boombox for like 5 minutes straight! lol

Into 40 minutes of the Bach.... and well just thinking that Romance is not something you can determine from watching a Disney movie.. really.
One could hope.. but it's not like that.. cuz you script it out..
When it's real and about that person's likes or dislikes.. it's just powerful. Am kinda of tired of ABC of pushing the Disney agenda... sure they're going to do that.. but really.. when I'm thinking 'Romance' I am not thinking Mickey Mouse..
Just disappointed so far..

and if I saw that "thing" on the streets of L.A. blocking traffic..

Sad to see the teacher go but i guess she just wasn't feeling it with him.
Glad that Brian and Graham are still there..but Ron (even though he was one of my faves) i guess over stayed his welcome..i liked when he said "i didn't get rejected by Deanna, she just chose other guys" LOL
And yeah..i actually was surprised to see how well she took it when Jason told her about his son..impressive..
Jesse is adorable i must admit..but don't know if he's for her.
As for Jeremy..never liked him from the beginning..i just can't put my finger on it.
And the part with Ellen was just

Twilley I think is the Drama spin or the Omarosa dose of the series.. The person you know who will never make it .. but they 'keep em around' for the WTF moments...
Jeremy?.. nice.. and yes has been through stuff but seems to be looking for a mommy.. not a mate..
and yes.. love Ellen so love anything with her. She pushed for this and gave Brad equal time too.. so it was all good.
Just am sick of the intro and time to move on off of the poor rejected gal. She said it.. she's a tough person .. so let her be that strong independent woman that she claims to be and change up that intro and let Brad off the hook..
;)
Moving on... Love how Jason got to tell her about the son and am hoping that the Star gift isn't a conselation prize.. I could not see her giving up on him the week he talks about his boy. I still think that he's a great guy.. but am not sure she is into someone that has been married before.
DID love Richard the Teacher and was ticked off for her comment about if he can't make a Cinderella ride through greater Los Angeles work then he's not for her?... Pleeze.. .really.. have a guy do as he did and pack up a picnic and go to the strand (beach front walk in South Bay there) and have a table set up for them... NOT something you'd see at Disneyland.
I hope he finds real love as he seems like a kind and gentle soul that would be a good husband and father to his kids..
IMO

I usually am not "moved" by scenes on these shows, BUT the conversation that DeAnna and Jason had about his son and her mom actually brought tears to my eyes. The star...I was done! I just adore them together and hope his obvious edit is as true as that Shayne thing from last season.
I feel bad for Jeremy, I think he is nice. The other guys are clearly jealous. He shouldn't be there to make friends. I am so glad Ron is gone!!! I think he was a trouble maker with self esteem issues, lol!
Love Graham, but there are issues there.
Was so sad for Richard, thought he was adorkable!

yeah kinda wanted to pack him a sack lunch first before he got dropped off in East L.A.... I got suckered in by that story as now I want to know what happens for THAT Bachelor

Yeah I was tearing up just seeing Jason look at the pictures alone in his room of his boy.. that was really cool.. and when they got to the top of the observatory.. saying that the 1st and foremost thing he had to do WAS to tell her about his boy. .. really cool person.
Agree about the guys picking on Jeremy.. i think they need to concentrate on their own reasons for being there or wanting to stay there... and maybe Jeremy will self-destruct.. but I do see it being a neck and neck race between him and Jason..

Deanna and I have VERY similar tastes and appear to be interested in the same type of guys. We like them tall, dark, and handsome, intelligent, kind, and just a bit unique and intriguing. The fact that she and I relate on this, unlike the previous two bachelorettes, is making this an awesome season for me to watch! :D I actually rate them as they leave the limos on episode one - and Deanna sees a lot of what I saw.
Richard - this is the type of guy I hope to someday marry. She didn't feel it with him, okay, but his type is still just perfect for me!
Jeremy - I like him. But then, we all know how much I love arrogance! lol Actually, I really do think he is confidant rather than arrogant. He gets a bad rap. They're all just jealous.
Jesse and Twilley - they do absolutely nothing for me.
Ron - I am so glad that she "chose other guys over him". I don't know if I could have. I know the type. The type is mostly what I date. He's really bad on the ego and for the self-esteem, but he sucks you in. He's an enigma which just adds to the appeal. You're knee deep in heartache before you even realize it. And then it's too late 'cause you're hooked. And it doesn't hurt matters that he's gorgeous too.
Jason - Adorable and possibly too nice. But I like him.
Shawn - No one has mentioned him. This is probably because we've seen so little with or about him. I think he's gorgeous. I liked him from day one. And I think she'll find him to be a wonderful guy,... but too late. I'm glad she kept him tonight. I even did a silent cheer. But if he doesn't get a solo date ASAP, he's done for. They just haven't gotten to know one another at all yet.
I wonder who Ellen meant when she said that 'this guy' will not last long. lol

Absolutely tired of her high school rants and tantrums if anyone steps outside of her 'guidelines' or script. She seemed okay last week but this last one it was all about controlling the situation.. I think the public GETS that she was 'hurt'. okay fine..
Chillax and enjoy these fine young men and stop making it look or sound like "much ado over nothing"..
I do like Jason but now am thinking he needs to leave as he's too good for her.. I can see her with Jeremy or the Kentucky guy as I think she can 'control' them.. so they can do all the 'right' and pre-fab things couples do..
Not really caring any more..

Shawn - YAY! I was SO happy just to see my boy Shawn get some alone time with D. Then when he got the rose too?!?! I literally stood up and shouted with glee! :-D I don't think he's the right guy for D. But I just wanted to see him get a chance! I'm SO happy he did!
Now if we could have just gotten D some alone time with hottie Brian too! :( I agree with his end speech. I wish she had gotten to know him better too.
Robert - I never believed a single word he said. Even when he shed a tear, I still wasn't buying it. He gave 'Bachelor Bobs' a bad name. Thank god we still have memory of the talented, hillarious, and gorgeous Bob Guiney to pull us through! And speaking of men worth keeping -
Fred - He came to the show to find love, and he found it I'm sure. Maybe not with Deanna, but he found it. He went back home and I'm sure after all of this has aired, he'll be fighting the women off with a stick! Nope, not worried at all about whether or not he'll find love. Millions of women want a man like Fred. He'll get his dream girl yet, mark my words.
The final four, in my opinion will be Graham and the three J's.
I kinda thought she got upset over nothingness too. Guys are going to be guys. If she wants a guy who doesn't care how he looks to other guys, she should go with Jeremy for sure. I think she screwed up by letting Brian go for the same reason. BUT - I also agee with Patty. It is her life to make whatever calls she wants to make. And not only that, but I can also see how much she has been hurt and is scared to get hurt again. I can respect that. If Graham doesn't let her in, I hope he goes home soon. Because I don't want her getting hurt either.
And for the record - I'm with all of you. Why the hell did Twilley even make the very first cut let alone every cut since then?

This was the first show I actually liked Twilly or the pre-show thingy when they showed some of his background but he really was a gonner from the start.. and kept as long as the show.. I mean Deanna could stand him..
;)
As to the dates.. yeah when I look for true love..
I rate the guy by their ATV abilities..
also if she wants everythiing by a guideline.. maybe she should make sure that everyone has the memos on what is correct and not correct per "love in a movie" or "on tee-vee".. She seems to have WAY too many expectations.. IMO and well.. also am tired of Trista ? being trotted out so that she can show off her baby and what an experienced Bachelorett Pro she is? I don't think that "semi-celeb" or "celeb" babies should be exposed to this crap.. ever. Just seems exploiting..
:dontknow:
Am anxious for Jason's little boy next week.. I agree with Patty as to his loveliness.. and think he would be a great friend, husband, and father .. best they ever had.. I just don't think that he's right for Deanna. She wants it to be all about her for a lousy get together and barbecue and has a fit?? What happens when the child's time comes first? I am sure she'll be nice.. but she's just not what I see as a lasting relationship for Jason.
:dontknow:
I want Jason to not be hurt.. and if she picks him in the end.. I wish them all the best.. but really would prefer her to pick Jeremy or stubble face hunky guy.. and for someone from Seattle to give me directions to Kirkland WA so that maybe a Moose could give it a shot with Jason... sure it's 1 in a zillion.. but at least it's the thot that counts
:D
The hometown dates look fun so should be an interesting nite.. although I think Jeremy's fam looked a little scary?

Moosie - a) I think you are WAY too hard on Deanna and B Did you really just follow up the disdain for 'celeb kids/babies' being showcased immediately after with a comment about looking forward to seeing Jason's kid in the upcoming week? Come on! LOL!
;)
Fine fine fine.. .. got me on that..
but everything that Trista ? and Ryan SEEM to do is all about her exploiting their lives and now their child? As to Jason and his 3 yr old next week.. that IS a part of the family that Deanna needs to meet so yes I can see where he would be 'in play' for this part of the show. . . only.
Trotting out your baby unnecessarily tho (good example is Charlie Sheen's ex?? ) and using lines like "and now I have a baby to show for it?" when referring to her time on Bachelor.. Well it just sounded like Trista? got a bonus prize of luggage or a spa vacation..
:dontknow:
Anyway as far as Deanna goes.. sure she's been through a tough and rough start of a life.. and that can change anyone... and many times in the last 2 years I have been pleasantly and unpleasantly surprised when meeting some of these people in person. The ones you think you'd really dislike turn out out to be some of the more sincere and kinder people.. and that's when you realize.. it IS TV and Entertainment and well.. also fodder for us to chat about.
:D
Yeah I'd like Deanna to go for Jeremy.. Mostly as that'll leave Jason for the rest of us.. .worth moving to Seattle for Patty? I think so..

OMG I am soooo on Team Denise! Charlie Sheen is a big loser Ahole who bangs prostitutes!
I should have said that I will be very happy with Jeremy or Jason at the end. Graham seems more like a good quickie fun guy, potentially fun for a series of one nighters and nothing more. The fact that Jason's oh so adorable son is on the show at all leads me to believe he is last man standing.

This episode made me cry a lot too! Jason, his son and Deanna were soo cute together! I just loved it! I think it's going to be him & Jeremy F2, i think its going to be close!
I must say that Graham really deserved to go tonite! If i was DeAnna i would have been ticked too! He just sat there and didn't say a word to her! I don't know what he was thinking! That just made me mad cause i liked him.
Overall great episode! Can't wait for the finale! :yay1:

I wonder though that as much feelings that she had for Graham, when she pick's someone else, will her heart really be with him. Exactly.. or will they want to really be with her.. knowing that they're sloppy seconds?
:D
Well .... I have time here so am going to ramble on.. per normal..
actually waiting for some apple cinammon scones to bake..
so hey.. I have the time..
Lets see..
;)
At the end saying that Graham was the only one of the remaining that she was falling in love with.. so Jesse', Jeremy, and Jason.. (hmmm it's a J' thing?).. are all consolation prizes?.. also-rans? How would they feel seeing that?
Her biggest thing was that he was 'hawt' .. her type.. and yet you could send out a search and rescue party with horses, hounds, and choppers.. and still not find any real connection or charisma with the two together.. I saw Graham wanting out of this.. period. Also as to the 'note'? Shame shame on ABC to promote this as a "let us see what he wrote?".. He said it wasn't or TV or the Show .. so leave it that way. Although had he really wanted it off the TV moment he would've given it to her OFF camera..
All good family visits.. and love Jesse's dad.. and some tear-jerkers.. but I never liked this meet-the-families segment of the show. I am a believer that Love is between you and the one you love and if your family is not into that.. that's cool.. as they're NOT in the relationship. You are. Also to fault someone for a 'bad family relationship' as she said (and other players before).. is just wrong. There are more BAD family relationships out there than good ones.. and not from lack of 'trying' by those involved. Bad parenting or dysfunctional family interactions happen.. I know a LOT of FANTASTIC people that came from bad stories- family history (some members here too.. wink wink).. and they all are worth knowing.. and then some. Even if our opinions of characters we see on TV are extremely different.. sometimes.
Love Jason and Ty.. (also love that he named all the ducks Ted?.. ha ha ) and got happy seeing that little boy being surrounded by such a good solid family upbringing.. something that is rare. She did well with him and was really respectful of his family and all of them. The leap frog thing was a bit.. off-beat but still where else would you see that but on a scripted reality show.. ha ha "Okay guys.. we're going to do an Ouzo' toast and then go out back to play leap frog.. no.. really.. "
Jeremy's bro's were cool and really looking out for his best interests.. and nice design style of his home.. and if it's his own doing. he could use that as a back-up career.. Was worried about how the snowboarding and label-maker design of Jesse's house would equal into a 'family home'.. so on that note.. I see Jesse as being cut and not making it to the end.. When the horse drawn carriage pulled up for Jesse and Deanna I thought.. Ruh-Ro.. Deja Vu re: Richard.. in fact.. is that Richard driving the horses??
I do see her going for Jason.. as although she has the bond with Jeremy from the parent-loss issues.. after that there seems little there. One of those .. you're sure it would be different if you met them things.. Thought it was edited to have some 'empty' moments...
:dontknow:
At the beginning of the show she says how she was 'there for everyone' her whole life.. and with all prior episodes to the contrary.. she seemed to make it all about her.. (well it IS the Bachelorette).. even in her good-bye speech to Graham. He WAS trying to make it nice for 'her' to ease her pain.. and she just ripped him for NOT changing himself for her.?? Or 'swaying and smiling'?? or not stepping it up? Just a tad critical for me.. Maybe he's not as outward as he said he wasn't a share-feelings kinda guy.. and she wanted more? Well.. if you have MET your 'love'.. as corny as it sounds.. they 'complete' you and compliment your life as you do them. It's not about molding them to fit your needs or 'ideals'.. and it seems to be something Deanna was trying to do. After all it's her tea party and if you don't play right she's going to stomp and scream till you play right?
Okay Pattycakes.. listen up as here comes the good part..
(if you've made it this far).. a soft word for Deanna.. from me..
shocking.. ha ha ha ha
:)
Tonight was where I really felt bad for Deanna during the home visit with Graham as you could see she really was hurt and broken that he did not (and he didn't) care for her at the same level.. Watching someone hurt like that is never good. Although she was hurt at the end of last season and I felt bad for her.. I was glad that Brad made the right move to turn the girls down.. better 'then' .. than being lied to. When she sent that 2nd guy home (a few weeks back) when he thot he had won the rose.. she did the same exact thing that Brad did.. but just earlier so why fault him for doing that? He just gave it every possible chance (that she later asked for) for him and it just did not work.
Graham in the end was not lying to her. Something she asked them to do.. Be Honest and well he was and got ripped for it?.. Yes she was lashing out as anyone may do.. but still.. just a bit outta control.
:dontknow:
I also saw (IMO) that Deanna was being manipulated by the Producers and felt bad for her as she seemed to be under that pressure of finding THE guy.. because what if she didn't? Really.. I could see where she really cared for TY and the families and that seemed to be her more sincere moments of the entire series. She's had a LOT of pain in her life that I don't think she's totally explored or dealt with... and so I can see how picking out who or what she wants would be difficult.. as I don't believe she knows what she wants. Although she seems to have mapped it out as a list in a diary and is locked and loaded to hit all bullet points on that list .. or else..
:|
Sometimes love for a person is the one that will surprise you the most. Really. Love is something that happens.. and is not forced or conformed or written out in a pre-determined script .. personal or for entertainment TV. She has been enlightening to me as to helping me to realize that I don't have a 'type'.. or rules... Well other than maybe respect, humor, and kindness to others.. and knowledge of the world.. (IE knowing about 'the Space Needle of Seattle)
The episodes next week looks interesting and in the Promo I respect those that say 'no' to the one on one suite. If they don't want to take that step it should not be forced or disrespected. As it 'seems' that Jesse will do but a sound bite is a sound bite.. and mostly will bite .. later. Love Jason's reaction as to saying 'hell-yeah' and tossing the invite aside.. really a great guy and father.
As to this LONG ramble about this.. didn't know I could type this fast or Scones took this long to bake..
;)
I really just see it as a 'fun' entertainment show.. but really would hate for young women to model any 'love' choice based on her or anyone's values from this show. True Love (and the love of family) is much, much greater than a Hawt guy who knows how to decorate an townhouse..
;)
Question: I may have missed a show but has it ever been brought out as to Jason's Ex.. and what the story was there? or why there is little or NO mention of her? Am thinking that as a mother I would be really into protecting my son's interests whether it is meeting a future possible influence on my child's life.. or being affected and filmed by a TV film crew.. just was wondering if anyone knew that story? It's all very Kramer Vs Kramer IMO.. As with Big Brother.. if they're not on the show you need to respect the family's privacy etc etc etc.. but thinking that they may have brought this up and I missed it on a show or episode..
Thanks
:)

Yes it is... ITA...
but if I saw a train wreck coming.. I'd like to think that I or most here would pull Jason, Jeremy, or Jesse' off the tracks..
Not saying that she's doomed to fail ...but it just seems (IMO) her expectations are so HIGH.. that whomever she picks.. they can't help but do that..
:dontknow:
PPS... although I don't think a few would pull Twilly off the tracks..

Whoa! Honestly, I just thought the episode was an emotional one for different reasons. I love Jeremy!! I love Jason!!!! I love TY!!!!!! Jesse reminds me of Boogie's face so I'm not feeling it, Graham was hotter then hell and her lust connection. I don't think he had anything over the others though. She made it pretty clear throughout the show that she has feelings for them all.

Moosie..as for Jason's ex i think that she may have passed away..i could be wrong though.
As for last night's episode..i'm still in shock!..Graham really needed to step it up ALOT and he just didn't deliver..not in the least bit.
I mean he just looked like he didn't really give a shit and i really felt bad for her at certain moments. Especially when she was giving out the roses and he was just standing there with the weirdest smirk on his face! wtf was up with that anyways??
The rest of the 3 boys really put it out there for her and i cannot believe i'm gonna say this..even though i have said that i do not really care for Jeremy i think i may have started to like him..sorta..
Jesse was just adorable and his parents were really nice..especially when he went in for the kiss:thumbsup:..as for Jason and Ty..OMG! what a cutie he is!..they looked like they had a really good time the 3 of them and also later with his family.
But really disappointed with Graham..tsk tsk tsk..i mean why go on a show like this if you're just not gonna give it your 100%?..granted yes..he was "hawt" like Moosie said lol..but in other aspects he was just so lacking.
He obviously has not had a serious relationship before and he just didn't know how to go about it..he obviously has some issues that need to be taken care of..i hope that he does that for himself before he possibly gets into another relationship in the future.
As for the letter he left behind..i was like wtf? he's gonna be writing things to her down on paper for the rest of his life if he was to stay?..lol..c'mon!
It was just a little too late..and she really got hurt by it..i really felt bad.
he was my last favorite :( oh well..
At this point i wanna root for Jesse (the underdog) but i have a feeling it's gonna be 1 of the other 2.
Good luck to all 3 men.

I liked Graham. But I don't think he is ready for the type of commitment that DeAnna is looking for. I do think he cared a lot for her though. The letter proves that, and I don't even need to know what it says. It's all very sad really because its obvious to me that the real problem is that he's an introvert and she's an extrovert. He feels it all on the inside, and internalizes, and she, most like women I'd guess, wanted it all said. In that important way, they just didn't work together. I do think its partly DeAnna's fault though. She should have told him point blank, on the bench, "Look. I care a whole lot about you. But I have feelings for the other guys too. And if you can't give me what I need, I'm going to have to let you go even though I don't want to." Put the ball in his court but make him aware that it's there.
I don't think that she will not find love at all just because Graham was the only one she was falling for at that point, or that they will be getting his 'sloppy seconds.' I think she will fall in love with one of the others. They are all really great guys. She knows she'd be lucky to have any one of them. And Graham was like Brad. You can love someone but if they can't give you what you need, or love you how you need to be loved, then the relationship is doomed from the start and you just aren't good for each other. She will allow herself to fall in love with someone who would be good for her, any of the remaining men. To say she can't fall in love with another one of the guys implies that you can only be in love once in your life, and I just don't find that to be true. Don't forget, she was also in love with Brad.
I'm rooting for Jeremy. I think he is the perfect guy and I think she would be really happy with him. Did anyone notice that when she asked the sister-in-law to give her some of Jeremy's flaws, she couldn't, or didn't, do it? lol That's kind of how I've felt about Jeremy from the start. And I kind of fell in love with him a little myself this episode! lol Jason would also be an excellent choice. Either one of those guys would love her the way she needs and wants to be loved. And she could easily have a beautiful life with either one of them. Jesse, I don't think he's ready for marriage any more than Graham was/is.
P.S. - I'm pretty sure that Jason said during the date where he told DeAnna about Ty that the mother left them.
P.P.S. - I'm REALLY curious to see who 'the most hated guy' is. Anyone think its Ron?

I agree with the last sentence only. He could have found a way to get it to her after the show had ended if it was really private. He knew better. He knew he was on t.v.
All good family visits.. and love Jesse's dad.. and some tear-jerkers.. but I never liked this meet-the-families segment of the show. I am a believer that Love is between you and the one you love and if your family is not into that.. that's cool.. as they're NOT in the relationship. You are.
Are you close with your family? As someone who is, I can honestly say that my family most definitely IS a part of the relationship. Because my family is a HUGE part of me. Anyone who can't get along with my family is no one that I need to be involved with romantically.
Love Jason and Ty.. (also love that he named all the ducks Ted?)
That was adorable. I wonder who this Ted guy is?! lol
When the horse drawn carriage pulled up for Jesse and Deanna I thought.. Ruh-Ro.. Deja Vu re: Richard.. in fact.. is that Richard driving the horses??
I loved her response when he asked if she had ever been in one before. She was like, "Can I say no?" LOL!
I do see her going for Jason.. as although she has the bond with Jeremy from the parent-loss issues.. after that there seems little there. One of those .. you're sure it would be different if you met them things.. Thought it was edited to have some 'empty' moments...
I think that she and Jeremy have great chemistry but that it just wasn't apparent on the hometown date, probably because it was more serious.
You sound 'a tad too critical' to me. He wasn't trying to 'make it easier' for her. He was laying on the guilt trip. And even in the end, even when saying goodbye, he STILL couldn't show any real emotion. And she was falling for him. In my opinion, she went easy on him. I might have ripped him a new one at that point. You love a man, and he's being sent away, and he just sways and smirks? Yeah, I'd feel lead on. And I'd be pissed. And so what if this is the first time in her life she's really doing something for herself? Good for her! It's about time! Make it about you, DeAnna, and make it memorable!
Obviously she hadn't met 'her love.' He was too introverted and she too extroverted. She needs a man who will share his feelings with her. She let him know what she needed, and when she wasn't getting it, and how disappointed that made her feel. She was being real and honest and truly sad that he wasn't 'her love'. She wanted the same truth and honesty and realness from him. The more she didn't get it, the more hurt she got. Only you would see that as 'trying to mold them to fit your needs or ideals.'
How is that a soft word for DeAnna? LOL! You really don't like her much it seems. Don't you even get at all how 'but just earlier' makes it ENTIRELY different??? Families aren't involved. Honeymoon suite dates aren't involved. Those guys were not yet in love with her. She sent them home before that could happen. She spared their feelings, while Brad lead her on, the entire time. And he didn't have to propose marriage to her in the end. He could have simply given her the final rose as a precursor to getting to know one another better. Other bachelors have done that before. He chose to throw her out of his life entirely instead. I don't see her doing that to these guys. And that makes it VERY different. I don't know how you know within three weeks if you're in love with someone. But by the same token, I also then don't know how you can possible know for certain that you never will be... unless you led them on and never had any real feelings for them. I wonder what Brad thinks/feels while watching this show.
Graham in the end was not lying to her. Something she asked them to do.. Be Honest and well he was and got ripped for it?.. Yes she was lashing out as anyone may do.. but still.. just a bit outta control.
A) Not enough and B) not enough. He wasn't being honest. He was hiding. If he had true feelings for her, he never expressed it. And if he didn't, he never outright said it to her. How again is that being honest?
Sometimes love for a person is the one that will surprise you the most. Really. Love is something that happens.. and is not forced or conformed or written out in a pre-determined script .. personal or for entertainment TV. Did she really say "you're the only one I love"?? I must be deaf, totally missed that.
Now seriously, this question has been asked of me in the past and I never really got it until now....
Moosie, why are you watching? You seem to be against everything that the show represents. You just tear it apart week after week. Do you just not like Deanna? So many people are over Brad and what he did, except you actually. Who cares if his name is brought up? And no, what she did is not the same. Every week people leave. I am fine with Brad choosing no one, he was just kinda rude about it after the fact
I agree about the family stuff Laura, my mom and sister's come first. Package deal. There has to be a comfort level between someone you love and your family. Everyone has to mesh.
I just can't decide who I will be happy to see her end up with. I love Jeremy and Jason. Whoever is out between the 2 will be sad to watch again. I would never say the home visit with Jeremy had empty moments. WOW. I thought that visit was the most touching and just very emotionally bonding. I agree again Laura, I think I am in love too! LOL!

I have been reading different boards today and all of them are saying that Graham asked to leave. The whole rose ceremony was fake and was manipulated by the producers for obvious reasons to protect Graham's and Deanna's images. I think it is quite possible that her words were manipulated a bit too Moosie.
I also read some spoilers about the Men Tell All show from posters who were at it and it seems that we will all be very clear that anything that was between Deanna and Graham is clearly over and will not have any questions why or how.

ITA.. and yes they called it as they saw it.. so in THEIR opinion it is not 'wrong' as she said it was. She has her view of it as do they, as do we..
Did give them Kudos for calling situations as they really were and also for her to address the issues as well. Was just too painful to watch Jeremy .. more so when she announced her enagagement.

My heart broke for Jeremy. He was stunned.
I really like Graham alot. Everything both of them said is true. Graham didn't want to rush, she did. She is very straight forward and direct (almost harsh) he cannot communicate through words at all. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say he is probably fantastic in bed....lmao! Oil and water and they definitely seem to be over each other. That relationship would have been a major trainwreck.

I have nothing against Jason, but I will say again. If you want to play it "safe" then go with Jason. I don't think from what I have seen of her, that he is what she would think of in terms as of "being in love" with. Not when you could totally see the chemistry between her and Graham. Between her and Jason, I see a friendship. I just don't think she will be totally happy being with him.......and eventually it will show.

I'm happy for Jason. I think they will be very cute together. He deserves love and Ty deserves a Mommy. So all is good! :D BTW - I'm convinved it's Jason because of the earlier sneak preview scenes we saw of the guy's back. He didn't have Jesse's hair. So unless he does something totally drastic with it by next episode...
I haven't seen the other part yet. I'll comment on that later maybe.

Susie - don't confuse sexual attraction with being in love.
No confusion there what the difference is......I just don't see the "chemistry" between them and being with him is "safe". Not saying that it's a bad thing to play it safe, just that it won't be enough in the end.

I want her to pick Jason. He is the safe choice, but he is also the "if you want happiness" choice. Graham is the reckless choice. Over the past 20 yrs when confronted with the safe or reckless, I have chosen reckless 100% of the time. Yes, it was fun but I am still single.

From the spoiler threads for the Bachelorette.......they are saying Jesse is picked?? I like him, and between the two would say him. But with her being the one doing the picking, I find it hard to believe. Guess we will find out tonight. Supposedly someone said they received the new People magazine and it was in there??
Look who was with some of the other bachelors!! http://a726.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/1/l_807d9c9ae31582925cddefc667940b45.jpg

I think DeAnna is an idiot. I would have chosen either Jason or Jeremy over Jesse. But who am I to choose her soul mate for her? I hope they are very happy together and I hope that either Jason or Jeremy get to be the next Bachelor. And I think 'the look' that Jason was talking about that DeAnna gave to Jesse and Graham was simply raw attraction/lust in both cases. I hope they are both ready for something more than that so that they can last. I also wonder a bit if Jason might have been more in love with the idea of being in love than he actually was with DeAnna. But only he can know that for sure.
It was good to see that Matt and Shayne are still together too.
Ray Ray and Jeremy make a cute couple! I hope they end up together! :D

Wow! what a total surprise!
But i kinda saw it coming..i actually had a feeling she was gonna pick Jesse when they showed her speaking to Jeremy when he came back.
I said to my roomate..watch..if she let Jeremy go she's probably gonna let Jason go as well..and i was right! lol
And it was confirmed in my mind when she said "I'm finally gonna tell this man how i feel and that i love him..and i hope he feels the same for me"
Right then and there i said 100% it was gonna be Jesse
You know what?..i liked them both but i'm glad that the "underdog" won for a change..she seems extremely happy and wayyyyyyy too giddy! lol
She has changed alot it seems and it's very apparent that Jesse makes her happy..i wish them both the best of luck in the future :D
Felt horrible for Jason though :(..i just wanted to reach in my tv and hug him.
And yes..i do agree..i hope that the producers take into consideration to have either Jeremy or Jason for the next bachelor:thumbsup:
PS: Matt and Shayne are just too cute!

You would be! Grrrr! I'll give them this though, they BOTH seem to have changed a lot since from before the show began. I think they 'grew together' instead of 'growing apart' - which indeed is VERY sweet! :D

For those that wanted to get in contact with Jason..here's your chance!!
A single father from Washington broadcasts his relationship status to the country only to be swamped with letters from adoring female fans. Sleepless in Kirkland?
Well, almost.
This time around, it’s Jason Mesnick, also known as the man The Bachelorette’s DeAnna Pappas passed over in the show’s finale. The 32-year-old father (son Ty is 3) has a new email account for any fans wishing to contact him.
“I’ve gotten thousands of comments from fans,” Mesnick tells PEOPLE. “The generosity and the kindness is unbelievable. Every one is so sweet and nice. All the comments are pure love.”
After Pappas told him in the finale (http://tvwatch.people.com/2008/07/08/bachelorette-deanna-chooses-jesse-and-sets-a-wedding-date/#more-1569) her “heart is somewhere else,” Mesnick’s fans overloaded his MySpace account with comments and then bombarded ABC with requests to get in touch with him. Producers of the show finally set up a separate e-mail account just for him. Fans can contact Jason directly at fanofjason@gmail.com.
“This really was set up as a way to accommodate his fans who wanted to reach out to him, not as a way of finding a match for him,” an ABC rep says. Mesnick checks the address once a day and tries to respond to every fan — even if it is just with a simple thank you.
“Every email starts the same. ‘I’ve never done this before and I’m not a stalker,’” he says. “I’ve even gotten a Sleepless in Seattle letter.”
Even if he doesn’t find love online, Mesnick is feeling pretty good from the responses. “I don’t care who you are in the world, Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan, you have some sort of doubts about yourself,” he says. “To know that people like me and accept me for exactly who I am feels so good.”

I read in a magazine today that Shayne and Matt are already broken up. She was seen making out, twice, with some media guy at some L.A. clubs. Also, in the same magazine, I read that what Graham told DeAnna in the letter is that he was seeing someone and in love with someone else. The source states that Graham is dating a soap actress and that DeAnna still calls him all the time trying to get back together with him. Graham denied both when asked.

Wow!
I probably do believe the part that he's dating someone else..but that Deanna is calling him..i seriously doubt it..she seems to be head over heels with Jesse.
But you never know what's really going on out there..

The Bachelorette: Graham Bunn Finds A Love Of His Own
Bunn headed out to the New York premiere of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 this week with soap actress Chrishell Stause (http://www.buddytv.com/chrishell-stause.aspx). The 26 year old stars on the ABC soap, All My Children (http://www.buddytv.com/all-my-children.aspx), where has been playing Amanda Dillon since 2005. If Bunn likes a small town southern girl, he certainly found one in Stause. She is originally from Draffenville, Kentucky, which has a population of only about a thousand people.
At the premiere, Bunn couldn’t hide his happiness and gushed to People magazine, “I’m very grateful and very flattered to be with this beautiful lady. I’m the luckiest guy in the world. She’s just amazing.” Stause was very lighthearted about their relationship and joked, "Anytime he acts up I say take your shirt off and just be quiet.”
As for his time on The Bachelorette, Bunn says that he has no regrets. After all, if he had ended up winning, he never would have met his current girlfriend. “My life is a lot better,” Bunn said of life after The Bachelorette. “DeAnna decided to go in a different direction in her life. And hopefully that worked out for her but it really worked out for me.”

What's with the Bachelors finding their true loves in actresses on All My Children? LOL! ;) Good for Graham following in the footsteps of former Bachelor, Bob Guiney. Bob has married Rebecca Budig who plays Greenlea. And he is VERY happy. So hopefully Graham will be too! :D
