(not sure where that thread went! :( )
My top three faves from the first group of ten:
3) Cadence (the drumming group)
2) James Gang (the hip hopsters from the 20's which I find to be exciting and original)
1) Neal E. Boyd (the opera singer, and the man is a genius)
But what I'm REALLY thrilled about is Donald Braswell being let back into the competition. His story made me cry. He's the guy who lost his voice for eleven years and was told he'd never get it back and then got it back and can sing like an angel! He is such an inspiration!
Go America's Got Talent singers - it seems AI aint got nada on you! :D

Quen,
That heavy-set lady who sang that beautiful song a few weeks ago (dang, I cannot remember the name of the song), everyone loved her that night. Is she still there?

If it's who I think it is, then yes, and she is one of my three faves from the second night. It's her along with Paul, the Frank Sinatra impersonator, and the Zooperstars. I can't even believe that I like the Zooperstars! What the heck is wrong with me that I like the zooperstars? LOL! :D
And about four of those acts from the second night totally need to go home.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Donald Braswell. I even voted for him several times and I never vote! :D
Three dollars goes to anyone who can find me any information at all on that god awful yet catchy as hell song those horrible twin sisters sang! :)

From last night, these are the five I'd like to keep around, in order.
Paul Salos
Neal E. Boyd
Queen Emily
The James Gang
The Cadence
(Neal is better than Paul but I like Paul better personally. I do love them both though.)
I'd be happy if the Wright Kids could stay too! :-)
Daniel Jens can go home. He's not good. Period.
I like the ZOOperstars, but the novelty has worn off and they haven't upped their game at all.
Jessica Price; wasn't impressed with last night's performance.
The Dancers (What are their names?) - I'm sure they were fine. It's a personal thing. I could not care less about dancers. So they don't resonate with me at all.
We'll find out Thursday. :-) I'll be at a concert tonight and won't be able to see the remaining ten perform. But I can say this: Go Jonathan Burkin, Taubl family, Eli Mattson, and Kaitlyn Maher!
And above all else, GO DONALD BRASWELL! :D
I guess I have my favorite 10 and my ultimate favorite, eh? ;-)
(Nuttin' But Strings is also excellent!)

Now it's down to the final five, eh? Just getting the top ten was ROUGH! A few great acts went home; Jonathan Burkin the baton boy, Taubl family who was awful last time but amazing before that, James Gang who I would pay to see, and Cadence the drummers, just to name a few. But that doesn't mean that someone went through who shouldn't have. It just means there were that many great acts! So who did go through to the top ten you ask? (Yes, I know you didn't really ask. ;) )
Paul Salos - Sinatra impersonating singer
Neal E. Boyd - Opera singer
Queen Emily - R&B singer
Eli Mattson - Piano playing singer
Kaitlyn Maher - 4 year-old singer
Nuttin' But Strings - Violinists
Jessica Price - Pop singer
Joseph Hall - Elvis impersonating singer
The Wright Kids - Child Sibling Singers/Musicians
And my favorite, (Opera?) Donald Braswell! :D
Notice any trends here? lol I guess the viewers want their AGT to be just another American Idol. I'm willing to bet good money that some kind of singer wins this competition! :D I almost want to root for Nuttin' But Strings for obvious reasons! lol But alas, I cannot. I am too preoccupied with hoping that Donald wins, with Paul, Neal, Eli, and Emily rounding out the top five.
My vote/guess for who the top five will be though are actually Eli, Neal, Donald, Emily, and Kaitlyn. I just hope the rest of viewers, like me, see that Kaitlyn is adorable, but four years old. Thus, her range is limited. And thus, it is now time to let the competion go to the big dawgs! :D She is the cutest thing ever. But I will be pissed if she wins the whole thing.

Jerry Springer promised us suprises, but alas, I got none. And BTW I am THRILLED that I did not! :D The final ten were as follows:
Paul Salos - Sinatra impersonating singer
Neal E. Boyd - Opera singer
Queen Emily - R&B singer
Eli Mattson - Piano playing singer
Kaitlyn Maher - 4 year-old singer
Nuttin' But Strings - Violinists
Jessica Price - Pop singer
Joseph Hall - Elvis impersonating singer
The Wright Kids - Child Sibling Singers/Musicians
Donald Braswell - Opera singer
After last night's viewing, I found myself hoping that the final five would be, in order:
Donald Braswell - Opera singer
Neal E. Boyd - Opera singer
Eli Mattson - Piano playing singer
Nuttin' But Strings - Violinists
Queen Emily - R&B singer
And I got my wish. :D
I had grown to love Paul Salos (Sinatra) and I do hope I see him again someday. But Nuttin' But Strings had totally proven themselves as a contender. I am really impressed by what they do and think they are great role models for kids/adolescents.
The best thing about this top 5 is that none of them will be a disappointment for me if they win. America has totally been getting this right, week after week. And although my top five remain the same as mentioned above, I will not be upset if the fifth wins. So congrats to all of them. It has been a GREAT season of AGT. And P.S. - GO DONALD! :D
I bought Donald's CD. And I like him so much that I'm not even mad that he already has a CD and is thus not truly an amateur. So like I said, GO DONALD! And if not Mr. Braswell, then GO NEAL! :D And I don't even like opera! lol

Congrats to Neal E. Boyd for winning America's Got Talent! :clapping:
Even though Donald was/is my favorite, and I've already bought his CD, and even though Eli is amazing and I will buy his CD too, Neal deserved it! So Go Neal! Congrats on a war well fought and a win well-deserved! :D
