Let’s face it. It’s just not possible for a couple from The Bachelor (http://www.buddytv.com/the-bachelor.aspx) or The Bachelorette (http://www.buddytv.com/the-bachelorette.aspx) to work. When DeAnna Pappas (http://www.buddytv.com/deanna.aspx) chose Jesse Csincsak at the end of this past season of The Bachelorette, fans scratched their head in confusion. Jesse was unlike any other guy that showed up to win DeAnna’s heart, and perhaps that’s why she picked him, but many people felt it was doomed from the start – and they were right. Today, to almost no one’s surprise, DeAnna and Jesse announced on their official website that they were calling off their engagement.
It wouldn’t bother me so much if DeAnna and Jesse just ended their relationship quietly but he posted a YouTube video detailing the breakup and the couple has put up links to all the coverage of their breakup. “I feel like it’s our responsibility to tell you – we’re not together anymore. DeAnna broke up with me two days ago,” Jesse said in the emotional video that was posted today. “I’m sorry. I did everything in my power to make this work. She’s a great person but she wasn’t willing to try anymore. She wanted something different, I guess. The answer that I got was: I love you but I’m not in love with you. That’s a lot to swallow.”
Jesse also spoke to Extra TV tonight and a publicist from the show said in a statement, "Jesse now wonders whether DeAnna was in it for the publicity, telling Extra that in recent times, 'the only time she was touchy-feely with me was around the cameras.'"
Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, just told BuddyTV in an exclusive interview last week that he talked to DeAnna and Jesse all the time, giving no indication that anything was wrong. Today, he opened up to Entertainment Tonight, saying, "DeAnna went to Breckenridge last week and broke up with Jesse. He was stunned. I've talked to Jesse several times today, and he did not see it coming." Harrison also went on to say that Pappas was getting bad advice from "paparazzi guys, and other people that she's been running into that have filled her head with, you know, these dreams that she's going to come to Hollywood and make it big and do all this stuff. And I think her head's getting a little bigger than it should and I think that's led to this as well."
